Are your diamonds conflict-free?
We are proud to be part of the global campaign against conflict diamonds. This campaign has resulted in a system called the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, established in 2003 to prevent rebel groups and their rivals from financing their war aims from diamond sales. The certification scheme aims at preventing these “blood diamonds” from entering the mainstream rough diamond market. Read more at http://www.kimberleyprocess.com/
We take the following steps to ensure that we never use conflict diamonds:
- We only buy diamonds from the largest and most trusted diamond cutters and dealers in Belgium, Russia and Canada, all of whom are in conformance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.
-We do not purchase diamonds in circumstances where the provenance of the diamond is at all questionable.
How can I tell if my diamond is a “Canadian Diamond?”
An official Certificate accompanies each genuine Government Certified Canadian Diamond™. It contains specific, individual information about the diamond, and a message from the Government of the Northwest Territories certifying the provenance of the diamond.
What sort of jewellery do you make?
We design and manufacture jewellery for private customers, and never mass-produce. We also design for other jewellery companies, and make special pieces for the film industry.
Does Euro Custom Design Jewellery have a corporate gift-giving service?
Yes, and we are ready to provide you with special business gifts, awards and incentives. Please contact us
What does “The Art of Fine Jewellery: Timeless Tradition—Modern Technology” mean?
We are a premier jewellery design company known for our combination of meticulous centuries–old handcrafting techniques with today's computer technology.
Where do the designs come from?
Our designs always originate in-house. We don't imitate other designers, because we want your jewellery to be unique.
Do you have jewellery in stock?
We do have finished jewellery in stock, but we prefer to make jewellery specifically for each client so that the finger size, gemstone, and design are perfect.
How long does it take to make a diamond engagement ring?
After you approve the design, a ring with standard-cut diamonds takes 3 to 5 days. A special-cut stone or unusually large diamond takes a little longer.
Where is the jewellery made?
For every piece of jewellery, all phases of production happen in our private workshops in Vancouver, Canada.
Can you make jewellery for me if I'm not in Vancouver or Canada?
Absolutely. After you place an order, our consultants and designers create a computer-generated picture of your jewellery and send it to you by email. We make the actual piece only after you approve the design, then ship it to you by courier. Our designers often visit the United States and Europe to meet with long-standing and valued clients.
Do you have other international clients?
Our customers are from around the world: Canada, USA, Europe, Russia, India, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Australia, and South Africa.
Can you put a laser inscription on my diamond?
We can inscribe a special message or date of your choice on your diamond. Diamond laser inscription is the best way to identify a diamond, and many of our diamonds already have a laser-inscribed certificate or report number on the girdle.
Can you engrave a personal message on my jewellery?
We engrave significant messages and dates inside wedding rings and other jewellery.
Do you have an appraisal service?
Yes. All our jewellery and diamonds are accompanied by a Certificate of Appraisal and Diamond Grading Report issued by one of the most widely respected laboratories.
Do you make silver jewellery?
We have a small but growing line of silver jewellery. Please contact us.
What is your privacy policy?
Please see our Privacy Statement
Can I get an item repaired or remade?
Yes, we will repair and redesign your jewellery. Please contact us. After we make an assessment, you will receive a free estimate.
Will my jewellery arrive gift-wrapped?
All Euro Custom Design Jewellery purchases arrive in our signature leather-lined hardwood boxes and gift bags.
How do I care for my diamonds?
Your ring should receive periodic professional maintenance. Our trained artisans will check that the setting is adequately securing your stones and give your ring a thorough cleaning. Between professional cleanings, Euro Custom Design Jewellery recommends the occasional use of a nonabrasive cleaner for diamond jewellery. A mild solution of six parts water to one part ammonia may be applied with a very soft bristle brush. Jewellery with stones other than diamonds requires different care. Never use ammonia on silver jewellery.
How do I look after my jewellery?
Professional cleaning is recommended as often as once a year. We encourage you to bring your jewellery back to us for professional servicing. Our staff is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of jewellery care: having your settings checked for security, cleaning gemstones, restringing pearls and repairing clasps and earring backs.
Sterling silver tarnishes rapidly, especially when exposed to salt air and products containing sulphur, such as rubber bands and some papers. Jewellery storage is also important. Your jewellery arrives in a protective box or pouch. When it's not being worn, place it back in its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.
